State of the Union, October 2026
Capsuleers of The Orlov Family,
A month ago this alliance was a plan, a Discord server and a handful of people who liked flying together. Today it is three corporations, 46 members, a rigged Raitaru and two moon-mining Athanors in space, and an evening voice channel that is rarely quiet. I want to take a moment to say what that means, where we stand, and where we go next.
The short version: we are exactly where we set out to be. Early days, small steps, but every one of them real.
Where we stand
We set ourselves a target of one new member a day, for the corp and for the alliance, and we have hit it. The recruitment posts are working and the influx is steady. What matters more than the number is what people do once they are here: participation in events is high, the evenings fill up with people chilling on comms, and an identity is forming that is ours and nobody else's. That part cannot be planned on a spreadsheet. It comes from you, and it is the thing I am proudest of.
The last 30 days
- Three structures anchored: the Raitaru with its rigs in Isikano, and two Athanors chewing on moons in Piekura.
- Recruitment on target, with around 20 members online on a regular evening.
- First diplomatic contacts made with the other groups living around us.
- The authed Discord is live, with the first bots running: moon timers, structure status, the kill feed.
The next 90 days
- Know our neighbourhood inside out. We will set up incentive programmes under corp projects for scanning the key systems around us, Piekura and Saatuban first.
- Forays into low-sec. Lowsec Lonetrek should become our backyard. It is full of dangers, and the goal is not to avoid them but to know them: who lives there, who hunts there, where the ores and the gas sit, which gates and which hours to respect. A group that knows its neighbourhood can navigate it, and the resources follow by extension. We start with careful trips, we learn the locals and the threats, and we come home with the lay of the land and a hold full of what high-sec does not offer.
- Two more Athanors, if our mining core keeps growing the way it has.
- Group content beyond mining: abyssal runs together, pirate FOBs, the things that need five people and a plan.
- First steps into PvP, in ways that forgive a newer pilot: NPSI fleets, Thera, NPC null, small early roams. Alongside that we are working on an initial ship replacement programme and an incentive programme for FCs, so that losing a ship on an alliance op does not come out of your own wallet and running a fleet is worth your time. For the time being those remain plans; expect more on both by the next state message.
On people and numbers
Forty-six members in the alliance, about 22 of them you will see week in week out, across three corporations. The balance between veterans and newer players is healthy, with a slight tilt towards veterans, which means there is room for young blood and people around to show them the ropes. The target stays one new member a day for the alliance as a whole, and every corporation is encouraged to recruit people who will add to what we have.
On ISK
We are still in the start-up weeks, but the funnels are beginning to flow. Corp projects have paid out 368 M to members so far. The Raitaru brought in 41.8 M over the last 30 days, most of it from pilots outside the alliance using our services, which is exactly the idea: outsiders pay the bills, and the tax for alliance members stays at 0.1 % for now.
The moons have started paying too. The first extraction at Orlov Mining Facility I was mined out on 10 October: 397,000 units of Zeolites and Coesite, close to 4 million m³ of rock, by eight of our pilots. Compressed and taken to Jita that is worth about 470 M at sell prices, or 430 M sold straight into buy orders. One extraction, one day. The second Athanor's first pull is next.
What I am asking of you
As we grow in size, we grow in responsibility, and the responsibility should not sit with the directors alone. The next phase is a transition: from directors organising content and members joining, to members organising their own content with the directors providing support and infrastructure. If you want to take an active role in any of the targets above, or in keeping what we have running, now is the time to step up. FC roles on Discord are there for anyone who wants to ping a fleet, and in-game roles follow where they are needed. Ask, and you will get what you need to make it happen.
To everyone who showed up this month, mined a rock, scanned a system, answered a question in the help channel or just kept comms warm at night: thank you. This is a good group, and it is becoming a good alliance. Let's keep going.
Fly safe, fly together.
